Video Post – The Halls of Wilson Hall

Wilson Hall is the place where all the musical ideas gather and thrive.

I spend a lot of time in this place practicing music and so does every other student who participates and gets involved in Rowan Music clubs.

In this building there is a strong presence of the Rowan Music Group or RGM.

RGM is a music production club on campus. They basically give students the resources necessary to produce EP’s.

One of the things I love about Wilson is the ability to go into piano practice rooms.

These rooms are located in the first and second floor and they are open to every student at Rowan. That way even if your hobby is to play piano but you don’t have access to one you could use these rooms to keep your abilities sharp.

Wilson Hall also provides opportunities to children to learn music. Which is a great initiative for the community as well as the school.

When a kid goes to music lessons in Wilson not only they learn a craft that will stay with them for the rest of their lives but they also get to know the university environment which will hopefully make them want to return when it’s time to come to college.

Wilson is home of Plfeeger Concert Hall which is the place in which the biggest music events from the department come to life. From Jazz Ensembles to Christmas Concerts that happen very often here at Rowan.

I’ve been to these concerts and Plfeeger is such a beautiful place to enjoy shows because it really feels like a night out at the opera.

Wilson Hall is a place for music and the arts. I love the architecture and the environment that it provides. And nothing can beat the fact that whenever you walk in there you’re always greeted by music.
